The Last Real shower

So I am taking off tonight to be a "real live cowgirl". They have already warned me that tomorrow starts at seven with the feeding of horses. I have also discovered that there will be laundry only on my day off in town. Hopefully Gill meant what she said about it being okay to wash my stuff at her house. Otherwise I will be getting to know the folks at the London laundromat really well... This morning I found myself lingering awhile in the shower. And felling a little guilty, untill it hit me "this could be your last shower for awhile." Congrats!! to my cousin Andy who is getting married I'll be closer than I've ever been to a Vandekerckhove family wedding. Alas, I will be up to my ankles in equine poop when you are saying your vows. Part of me wants to repack my stuff incase I forgot something. Part of me wants to slink back to Toronto and work at a nice air conditioned starbucks and part of me is still seven! The day you leave for camp you're all jittery and anxious and wanting to "get going already!!" I would say I'm scared but that would ruin my image (wouldn't it?). Not sure when I will get to blog again but untill then TTFN!

the week before christmas

So, I am having major issues with excitement this week. I know I should feel a little guilty for leaving my family, friends and home to camp for three months. I know I should be more excited about the new arrival in our family (a miss Elle Doreen 7lbs some Oz). But, I can't shake the anxious tingly feeling. You know the one that comes over all kids the week before Christmas or Halloween day. That's me three days ago before I left for camp. Since then I have made it to London for some serious shopping and Tillsonburg for some serious relaxation. The noise in Toronto was more than deafening the day I left it was positively oppressive, I think I have been slowly weaning myself off the noise, London is a collection of residential neighbourhoods that boasts a ten block "downtown" and then Tillsonburg the tobacco capital of Canada.. What can I say about Tillsonburg...I grew up there and it's small town charm grows on me like athletes foot. Tomorrow is my last day in civilization, then its bush league all the way!! -Ciao
